At unscribble, accessible from unscribble.app, we are committed to safeguarding your personal privacy and the recipes you cherish. Recipe Media: Photos or digital scans of recipe cards, notes, or cookbook pages you voluntarily upload or capture with your camera to be transcribed.
Digitized Recipe Content: Structured recipe titles, ingredient lists, instructions, cooking times, servings, and notes generated from your scans or manually entered.
Account & Authentication Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your basic profile information (such as your name, email address, and profile picture avatar) solely to maintain your account session.
Local Application Storage: Your saved recipe collection, cookbooks, and interface preferences are stored locally in your web browser for offline availability.

2. Google API Services & Google Drive User Data

This scope applies the Principle of Least Privilege. unscribble is only granted access to view, create, and modify the specific files and folders that unscribble itself creates (specifically the "unscribble Recipes" folder). unscribble cannot read, access, or modify any other files or folders in your Google Drive.

How We Use Google Drive Data: We access your Google Drive strictly to create formatted recipe documents and backup files when you explicitly request a save, sync, or backup. We do not transfer your Google Drive data to any external server.

Google API Limited Use Disclosure:
unscribble's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3. How We Use Your Information

To extract, transcribe, format, and organize handwritten or printed recipe cards using artificial intelligence models.
To store and display your personal recipe collections and custom cookbooks.
To facilitate two-way synchronization and cloud backups with your personal Google Drive when requested.
We NEVER sell, rent, or monetize your personal data or recipe cards.
We NEVER use your private recipe cards or Google user data to train generalized public AI models.

4. Data Storage & Security

All network communication with unscribble is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS/HTTPS protocols. Access tokens for Google services are stored temporarily in your client session and are never exposed to unauthorized parties.

5. Your Rights & Revoking Google Access

You can revoke unscribble's access to your Google account at any time by visiting your Google Security settings: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
